MEET DANIELLE
Danielle Kosir is an Emmy-nominated news reporter turned enthusiastic educator.
She joined the ranks as a faculty member at Central Piedmont Community College in January 2017, where she teaches Broadcasting and Production Technology.
Danielle knows the field well. For nearly a decade, she worked as a news anchor, reporter and producer at stations all across the country - from Charlotte, North Carolina to Beaumont, Texas to Mansfield, Ohio. It was in Ohio that she took a page out of Ron Burgundy's book... err, script... when she met - and eventually married - her co-host.
Danielle also works as a freelance reporter and host for PBS Charlotte, which allows her to combine her love of both education and broadcasting. In addition, she serves the community by volunteering as a Class Captain with the Charlotte-based non-profit Circle de Luz, which works to empower young Latinas. In this role, Danielle mentors a group of eight young women at Eastway Middle School.
However, her favorite job is 'mom' to a third-grader and two fur children, Danika and Baxter. Danielle is also half-Latina, an unapologetic bookworm and board game enthusiast.
