Students in BPT231 created the college's first student newscast in the Fall of 2017. The production also aired on CPCC TV.

In this course, students learned and executed the three phases of production: pre-production, production and post-production. Students produced and created content for a thirty-minute production, and learned how to operate studio equipment, such as the NewTek TriCaster, the Teleprompter and studio and EFP/ENG cameras.
